Welcome to Kayla 5k Run
The Kayla 5K Run is in memory of Kayla N. Hurst, an Ohio State University student and Granville High School graduate, who died in July 2003. In honor of Kayla, the Hurst family has established the Kayla N. Hurst Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is managed by the Licking County Foundation. All proceeds from the Kayla 5K Run will be deposited into the Kayla N. Hurst Memorial Scholarship Fund.
On an annual basis, a scholarship shall be given to one or more graduating female student athletes from Granville High School or other Licking County high schools. A female student athlete shall include all of the athletic activities that a school may have for females, specifically including cheerleading. The recipient of a scholarship is to be a female who best combines and exemplifies a love of her family, love for her school and a love of her community.
